The AWAke international student organization has been a part of Tilburg University for 13 years. Unfortunately, in 2011, AWAke suffered a large loss in terms of membership, due to issues of management. Since last year, there has been a large effort to revive AWAke, and come back stronger than before.

 

As a group of dedicated students from different places around the world, we aim not only to raise awareness about important social and environmental issues, but also to provide aid through fundraisers and other charity events. Everyone has world problems that they are passionate about, and they should be discussed, they should be heard, and they should be shared. As students, it is always difficult, as one can often feel helpless against problems of monumental size. We, as an organization, challenge this view, and promote solutions that will pave the way for the world to become a better place.

 

This year is the year that we really plan to take the university by storm. Promotions will be more spread over the campus, in different forms. The organization has already planned several events in collaboration with our supporting partners. We have several committees who are always open for new members to help them with preparations.
